The various factors which mainly constitute the hair structures are as described as follows individually. The first and foremost region or the main part of the hair structure is papilla, which is present at the base of the hair follicle and it seems to be appear like a large structure and it is commonly called as papilla at the base. The papilla is made up of mainly of various connective tissues and also of capillary loop structures. Cell division, which is present mainly in the papilla, is either found to be rare or non-existent. After papilla there comes the second part of the hair structure called as matrix and which is found to be present around the papilla and it is called as hair matrix. The hair matrix is a collection of epithelial cells which is often interspersed with the pigment constitution of various pigment producing cells called melanocytes. The cell division in the matrix of hair which is quite responsible for the cells that will form the major hair structures if the hair fiber and also which constitutes the inner root sheaths which in turns produce the pigment producing cells found around the papilla and it is found as group.
